A man reportedly tried to use several $20 bills to pay for items valued at $249. The cashier became suspicious when the money did not feel right to her. While having the bill checked, the suspect took the rest of the money and fled the store, leaving the merchandise behind. The $20 bill the cashier kept was confirmed to be counterfeit.

Earlier in the day, the same suspect made multiple purchases totaling $490 paying for the items with $20 bills. It was later found that all of these bills were counterfeit.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard and mustache, wearing blue jeans, a black ball cap and a burgundy T-shirt with “Chevrolet” written on it.
