FRANKLIN
The Franklin Police Department has unveiled its new website, www.franklinpolice.org. They contracted with the local Downtown Franklin website development firm Insercorp LTD earlier this year to design and develop the website, said spokesperson Capt. Tim Whitt.
The new website is accessible on all devices — computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Franklinpolice.org includes useful information, interactive features, contact information, frequently asked questions and resources for each division with the FPD.
One of the resource sections on the website includes an interactive criminal activity map and information for citizens, parents and teachers.
The navigation bar helps visitors find things from safety tips to wanted persons.
Visitors will also be able to get up-to-date information from the homepage through announcements, pages, documents and external link tabs. There is an Events Calendar on the new website that has Neighborhood Watch meetings, job application deadlines and other public events listed on it.
“The City of Franklin Police Department has confidence that our new website will help to keep our citizens informed and we hope that it may bring new recruitments to the force,” said Whitt.
