Wilbur R. Drewry

CARRSVILLE — Wilbur Reginald Drewry, 76, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Oct. 31, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Black Creek, he was the only son of the late Reginald Drewry and Mildred Drewry Whitley, and was predeceased by his sister, Frances Drewry, and step-father, Percy Whitley.
He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
Wilbur owned and operated his own electrical and plumbing business for over 40 years in Franklin.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to cook for others and hosted many pig pickings at his home for friends and customers.
Wilbur was a volunteer with Franklin Fire and Rescue, a member of Farmers Hunt Club and a past member of Forks of the River Hunt Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Alice Drewry; two daughters, Michelle Drake and her children, Ryan Wolfe and Katlyn Drake; Amanda Hutt and her husband, Kevin, and their children, Skylar Cutchins and Blake Hutt; two sons, Michael Drewry and his wife, Machelle, and their children, Michael, Shannon, Gracie and Daniel Drewry; and Steven Mosley and his wife, Kim, and their children Raechel and Luke Mosley; and his friend, Jimmy Drake, who was like a son to him.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday in Wright Funeral Home, and suggests memorials in Wilbur’s name be made to a favorite charity.
