To the Editor:
In American politics, every competitive election inevitably has a winner and a loser, and unfortunately for me, I was not the victor in this quest for office.
I know that many of you, my supporters, are disappointed. I am too. But our disappointment must be overcome by our love of the Jerusalem District and the work that must not be left undone.
I want everyone to know just how grateful I am to all those who supported me and supported the causes for which we fought for.
During this campaign I made a promise from the beginning that I would focus on the issues and stay out of the weeds.
I can firmly state that there were no personal, or false issue-oriented attacks made by me or any of my supporters against my opponent. I am grateful to all of you for that. You have made me proud.
As I move forward, this campaign ends as it began; with the love of Larry and our family. Our home together for the past 37 years is still Southampton County and our faith and belief in God is still as strong as ever.
Thanks to all of you again for your support and believing in me.
Sincerest regards,
D. Yvonne Rose
