FRANKLIN
United Christian Community Church of God donated Thanksgiving meals to six different families in the community. The church teamed up with Social Services of Franklin to find families they could help this holiday.

Laura Smallwood, a member of the church and sponsor of the event, came up with the idea in hopes of making this Thanksgiving a little bit easier on some local families. The plan is to do this annually.

Members of the church are taking these baskets of food to the different families today, most of the recipients do not know they having a meal being donated to them.

One family was asked to come to the church to have their basket of food given to them. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Gay were very happy and thankful to find out that they had been chosen as one of the families receiving assistance.
