COURTLAND
Ed and Sharon Rainey of Courtland, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Marie Rainey to John R. Sizemore, son of Ken and Nancy Sizemore of Richmond, Virginia.

Whitney is the maternal granddaughter of the late Ralph and June Calhoun, who lived in Smithfield, and the paternal granddaughter of Ed and Verlie Rainey of Murfreesboro, North Carolina.

John is the maternal grandson of Dr. and Mrs. J. Walter Mann of Richmond, and the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. Sizemore, who lived in Bedford, Virginia.

Whitney is a 2005 graduate of Southampton High School and The Governor’s School of the Arts. In 2009, she graduated from VCU with a degree in Fine Arts/Sculpture with extended media.

John is a 2005 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School, and received his degree from VCU in photography and film in 2013.

The couple resides in Richmond, and both are employed at Ipanema Restaurant in Richmond.

A wedding for May 21, 2016, is planned.
