NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED REVENUE BOND
FINANCING BY THE COUNTY OF
SOUTHAMPTON, VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors (the “Board”) of the County of Southampton, Virginia (the “County”), will hold a public hearing in accordance with Section 15.2-2606 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, on the proposed issuance of water and wastewater system revenue bonds in the estimated maximum principal amount of $150,000 to finance, along with other available funds, if any, the development of a second well and construction of a storage tank for the Drewryville waterworks, together with related expenses. The projects to be financed are subject to change in accordance with the County’s capital expenditure cash flow needs and Virginia law. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016, in the Board Room of the Southampton County Office Center at 26022 Administration Center Drive, Courtland, Virginia 23837. A copy of the proposed resolution authorizing the issuance of the bonds is available from the County Administrator at the above address. All interested persons may appear at the time and place referenced herein above and make his or her comments to the Board. The hearing is held at a public facility designed to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons needing interpreter services for the deaf must notify Mr. Johnson at least seven (7) days in advance of the hearing.
