The Chowan University men’s golf team participated in the 45th Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate Golf Championship at the Paradise Point Golf Club over the weekend.

The Hawks shot a collective 303 on the par-72 course, and were led by senior Steven Rhinard’s individual score of 73. Southampton High graduate Jordan Francis chipped in a 78.

Chowan finished fifth of the 15 team group playing the Gold Course at Paradise Point; half of the field played the Scarlet Course.

Methodist University (Fayetteville, North Carolina) finished first with a total team score of 285.
