Charles Colston

FRANKLIN — Charles Colston, 64, of Franklin, Virginia, passed away on May 11, 2016, at his home in Chesterfield, Virginia, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Potecasi, North Carolina, Charles graduated from Northampton County High School.

He worked as a welder with Union Camp for many years, and retired in 2001.

He was an active member of True Word Christian Church and loved to share his faith with others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Mary Colston, and his brother, Larry Colston.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Colston; son, Christopher Colston; daughter, Elizabeth Tomlin; granddaughter, Andreia Tomlin of Chesterfield; his brother, Jimmy Colston of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; as well as nieces and many cousins.

The memorial service for Charles will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, in True Word Christian Church.
