FRANKLIN
On many days as some of us watch TV, we often hear a program announcer say, “You just won a brand new car!” But how often do we hear of a person that we know achieve that prize? Well, ladies and gentleman, it just happened in Franklin.

Wynndolyn Copeland got a call on March 12 that she had won a brand new 2017 Nissan Sentra. But the real clincher of this is that Wynndolyn purchased a single ticket from her husband, Joel. The story of the win gets even deeper. Joel, a member of the Nansemond County Training School/Southwestern Union Organization, was helping the Delta Omega Foundation Inc. of Richmond with the fundraiser.

When asked how she responded on receiving the call, Wynndolyn said, “I was so excited, I couldn’t believe it.”

So now she and her husband will be able to enjoy riding in this new car. But also, for their part in this fundraiser, the Nansemond County Training School/Southwestern Union Organization will also receive a portion of the money for their part in the selling of tickets.
