Honorees deserved their recognition

This past weekend, the Franklin Sportsman’s Association heaped praises on three area individuals for their services to God and their community: The Rev. Dr. Dwight S. Riddick II of First Baptist Church, Capt. Josh A. Wyche of the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office and Bishop Samuel Hall of Mt. Olive Holiness Church.
As it has done for the past several years, the organization again found worthy people who deserve public recognition for their work. Riddick is known as an innovative leader in his church and neighborhood. Wyche upholds law and order. Hall helps to feed the hungry through a food pantry.
We also commend the trio for their service, and wish them many more years of productivity. Likewise, hats are off to the Sportsmen for their work.
