Harville M. Mavor

CARRSVILLE — Harville MacKenzie “Ken” Mavor passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.
Ken served his country in the Army Reserves, and worked for the Virginia Department of Corrections for 18 years.
He participated in the Polar Plunge for 15 years. Ken was an avid fisherman and very talented woodworker, but what brought him his greatest joy was his boys.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Harville Mavor, and his brother, James Herbert “Jim” Mavor.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Herbert Mavor; his sons, James-Jacob Mavor and Matthew Mavor; and their mother, Sandi Stacy; his sister, Mary Catherine Rooney and her husband, John; his nephew, Connor Rooney; and his niece, Audrey Rooney.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel.
The graveside service was at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, in Waverly Cemetery.
