RICHMOND
Isle of Wight Academy’s Golf Team on Monday continued its quest for a state title in the VISAA Tournament at Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond.

The Chargers competed for the Division II team championship.

IWA dominated the Metro Conference Tournament on May 14 at Sleepy Hole Golf Course, defeating its closest competition by 83 strokes.

The Chargers’ Blake Davis was MVP with a round of 76.

All-conference awards went to Davis and fellow IWA golfers Sydney Grimes, Jed Davies, Caitlyn Kinsey and Brett Leidel.

IWA Coach Gene Milburn was named conference coach of the year.
