Summer Jam youth go fishing again

Youth of the Franklin Summer Super Jam attended their second field trip of back-to-back fishing on Wednesday at the Ocean View Fishing Pier in Norfolk.
The youth had just enjoyed a day of fishing on Tuesday at the J.T. Wilson Fishing Pier in Hampton.
However, for this trip they were attending the Rodgers Family Kids Fishing Day, which is an annual event for boys and girls ages 6 to 18. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Pope Leo Xll Council 10804 of Virginia Beach.
Though a generous grant by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, each youth is able to take home a brand-new fishing pole and a T-shirt as a reminder of their great pier fishing experience.
In addition to that, participants are also treated to a freshly cooked hot dog bag lunch.
