Paul D. Camp Community College’s athletic director and head coach David Mitchell announced on Tuesday morning that all PDCCC athletic events scheduled for Wednesday through Sunday have been cancelled due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Florence. These include any practices, scrimmage games and team meetings.

“This is to ensure the safety of our student athletes and those who may be traveling to watch then play and/or practice,” Mitchell said.

He added that any and all screens or banners at the college’s baseball and softball fields were being removed that morning, and that drain inlets surrounding the fields were also being cleared.
