To the Editor:

Contrary to the letter from Joe Puglisi on 8 September (“Bring back balance in government”), I would have to disagree with the notion of voting for Democrats this November.

Virtually every economic metric has improved over the past year and a half. Unemployment is at record lows for African-Americans, Hispanics and women. Manufacturing jobs are increasing as corporate tax cuts have caused U.S. businesses to reinvest here in America.

Real wages have increased and optimism for the future abounds for all Americans.

The last thing we need is the politics of fear and division which seems to be the only thing Democrats have left to offer these days.

I urge my neighbors to reject such cynicism from the left and the mainstream media. Look at what is right in front of you and embrace what is good for America.

Please vote for Republican and conservative candidates this November.
