Riverdale hosts Daddy-Daughter Dance

Over 180 Riverdale Elementary School girls brought their special dates on Feb. 8 for a night of dancing in the gymnasium. The girls, along with their guests, were announced during the Grand March by Co-Principal Kisha Watford as they entered the dancing area.
Students were escorted by their dads, uncles, brothers, grandfathers, or other influential persons in their lives. The girls danced the night away in their elegant attire to musical selections provided by Riverdale’s music teacher, Richard Branagh. Students contributed to the play list by providing song requests during their regularly scheduled music class.
The girls were eager to get their dates on the dance floor to enjoy the special evening together making memories that will last a lifetime. This is just one event sponsored by Riverdale Elementary School to support parental involvement in the lives of students.
