Cora Lee Parker

FRANKLIN — Cora Lee Parker, 94, widow of Jasper Wilson “Jack” Parker, passed away on Oct. 11, 2019, in Rich Square Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Parker was born in Edenton, North Carolina, and was a daughter of the late James Franklin Byrum and Addie Davis Byrum, and was also predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.
She was a longtime clerk in the Meadowbrook Market on Pretlow Street in Franklin, and attended the Rock Church in Franklin.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Brenda Blankenship of Collierville, Tennessee; June Cofer of Smithfield; and Marilyn Chowning of Henrico; one son, Don Parker of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Poplar Spring Cemetery with Pastor David Dillon officiating.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
