On Wednesday, 30 Franklin High School students attended Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Eggs and Issues Pre-Legislative Breakfast. Student Council, Honor Society and Hampton Roads Workforce Center students were honored to take part in this annual event held in the dining facility of Franklin Baptist Church.
They were greeted and updated on topics that included education, workforce and the 2020 Census by Sen. L. Louise Lucas and Del. Roslyn Tyler. Senior Kahmiyah Falu had the privilege of introducing Lucas. After the legislators’ presentations, questions from the audience were addressed.
