Police investigate stabbing, cutting

On Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., the Franklin Police communications center received a call of a stabbing victim in the 200 block of Cobb Street, according to information provided by department spokesman Sgt. Scott Halverson. Units arrived and found a 41-year-old male suffering from several lacerations to his body. He was transported Southampton Memorial Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Norfolk General Hospital.
Halverson added that a second call came in reference to a person with a cut on his hand. Police responded to the scene on Pine Street and that victim, 53, was taken to SMH for treatment.
The investigation, which is ongoing, revealed that these two individuals had reportedly gotten into some type of altercation. No one has been charged.
