CARRSVILLE — Muriel Virginia Carr Lassiter, 82, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Virginia was a native of Carrsville. and was a daughter of the late Rossie Carr and Lois E. Bradshaw Carr, and was also predeceased by her husband, William J. “Alex” Lassiter; a sister, Oneal Gray; and two brothers, John and Frank Carr.

Virginia was a private duty nurse.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Ann Vincent, Cindy Smullen (Jim) and Gloria Walters (Tony); one son, Cliff Vincent (Ginger); one sister, Flossie C. Barnes; one brother, William “Shotgun” Carr; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.
