FRANKLIN

In light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and Virginia schools being closed, the Cover 3 Foundation, which is headquartered in Franklin, has begun providing breakfast and lunch for children at the following sites effective immediately through Friday, April 3:

• Cover 3 Foundation, 125 S. College Drive, Franklin.

• The Sussex Elementary School site has been closed and merged with Brunswick.

Breakfast and lunch, to include milk, will be provided together at each location, and the time has been changed from 9 o’clock to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meals will be distributed via pick-up-and-go.

Participation requirements are the same as those for Cover 3’s Summer Feeding Service Program, meaning children must live in an area where 50 percent or more students are eligible for free or reduced-price school lunches. This is regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
