Prince Hall Grand Lodge Grand Master visits Franklin Star Lodge

FRANKLIN
The brethren of Franklin Star Lodge No. 288 greeted and received a very special host of visitors to its regular lodge meeting on March 12 at its lodge hall on South Street in Franklin. The Most Worshipful Grand Master of Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the Jurisdiction of Virginia, Richard Townes, and members of his administration and a host of brethren from other local lodges were present for the meeting.
In comments and instructions, Grand Master Townes addressed important masonic information as well as other subjects to include college scholarships, youth programs and his concern for the lodge to be more visible in the community.
Following Grand Master Townes’ remarks, he entertained many comments and questions from members on a wide range of subjects. After a very productive meeting, the Grand Master closed the meeting and all assembled in the fellowship hall for a late-night chicken dinner.
