CAPRON — Lula Ann Gary of Capron, departed this life on April 26, 2020, in Courtland Healthcare Center.

The Southampton County native was born May 29, 1930, to David L. and Pernell Turner Hobbs.

Mrs. Gary was a member of Bright Lily Holiness Church.

She was educated in the Southampton County Public School System.

Mrs. Gary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex “Bud” Gary Jr.; son, Eugene Gary; and sister, Gladys Cary.

Her memory will live forever in the hearts of three daughters, Betty J. Johnson, Barbara Strylowski, Joyce Evans; two sons, Alden Gary (Gloria) and Michael A. Gary; 12 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and extended family.

The service for Mrs. Gary will be private; however, a family and public viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, April 30, during the following times: family viewing from 10 to 11 a.m.; public viewing from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
