FRANKLIN — Cynthia Williams “Cindy” Cotton, 62, passed away on May 25, 2020.

Cindy was a native of Franklin, and was the daughter of the late Billy B. Williams and Jean Drewry Rawls.

She was a 1976 graduate of Franklin High School, and a member of High Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir.

She had retired from Southampton County Social Services, and was the owner and operator of Mama Cotton’s Pound Cake.

She was very active with the Relay For Life.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ashley Cotton Covington and her husband, Matt of Capron; and her son, William Russell “Will” Cotton and his wife, Brandy of Milford.

A graveside memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Decker officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of the East Pavilion for their wonderful care.
