HENRICO, NC – James Elliott “Jimmy” Bryant Sr., 88, widower of Carolyn Wills Bryant, went to be with his “best friend,” Jesus, on Nov. 3, 2020, in his home.
He was the son of the late Ernest W. Bryant and Sarah C. Bryant. He was also predeceased by a sister, Rose B. Vick, and brother, Ernest W. Bryant.
Left to cherish his memories are daughters, Sandra Brinkley (Cliff), Cindee Kissinger (Philip); son, James E. Bryant Jr. (Kelly); eight grandchildren, Mary Beth Gribble (Chad), Jason Brinkley, Phil Kissinger (Christen), Carole Forrest (Mike), Katie Yadusky (Will), Becki Sharpe (Daniel), Walt Bryant and Sadie Bryant; 14 great-grandchildren; adopted son, Wesley Atkins (Teresa) and their son, Bryant.
He became a member of Lake Gaston Baptist Church, when he moved to the lake, after being a faithful member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church in Zuni, Virginia, for many years.
He was an employee of Union Camp Corporation in Franklin for 43 years.
A memorial service will be held in Lake Gaston Baptist Church, on Nov. 5, at 2 p.m., at 128 Lynwood Road, Littleton, NC 27850. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. before the service. Burial will be at a later date.
The family will be in Cliff and Sandra’s home at 155 Moncure Lane, Henrico, NC 27842.
