CARRSVILLE – Jon David Pyle, 77, passed away on Jan. 8, 2021, in his home with his family by his side.

Jon was born on March 24, 1943, in Norman, Oklahoma, and was a son of the late Pat Wilson Pyle and Ruth Imogene Gist Pyle.

Jon joined the Navy after high school and then became a salesman. He was a member and commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Urquhart Gillette Camp No. 1471. He was a hard worker and loved taking care of his home, making wood ducks and collecting Civil War memorabilia.

He grew up attending the First Christian Church in Tipton, Oklahoma.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly K. Pyle, who he shared a very tight bond with; two daughters, Joni Sue Pyle and Janice Pyle; two sisters, Karen Pat Pyle-Wagner and Neva Sue Hartwig-Hood; three granddaughters, Crystal, Sienna and Erica; many nieces and nephews; and his close friend, “Pork Chop.”

Services will be private.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or a favorite veteran charity.
