UPDATE: Isle of Wight County Schools will be closed on Thursday, the division announced on Facebook.

Earlier: Due to the forecast for snow overnight and freezing conditions in the morning, Isle of Wight County Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, Jan. 28, said school division spokeswoman Lynn Briggs. The delay is for all students and staff, including those participating in virtual learning since many of our teachers rely on school internet to deliver virtual instruction.

IWCS will continue to evaluate the weather and road conditions to ensure we can safely transport students on Thursday. Should there be any additional changes to the schedule, an announcement will be made Thursday morning.
