FRANKLIN – Alan Duane “Skip” Bain Jr., 75, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alan was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Alan D. Bain Sr. and Olga B. Simmons. He was a proud Navy veteran, retired police officer, assistant Boy Scoutmaster and elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family, camping, playing bingo and building Legos. He had built several military ships and was very proud to display them and share his story with others.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife of 34 years, Patricia F. Bain; and a brother.

Along with his wife, Linda F. Bain of 19 years, Alan is survived by his children: Tracy B. Morris (Buddy) of Winton, North Carolina; Michele B. Robitaille (Lexi) of Veyo, Utah; Alan D. Bain III (Keri) of Suffolk; and Will E. Bain (Stephanie) of Logan, Utah; four sisters; two brothers; eight granddaughters; five grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin.
