To the editor:

We have been described by our liberal left as deplorables who cling to family, guns, and religion. I’m proud of it. If you were gullible enough to believe the left’s tripe, all deplorables are racist, psychopaths, homophobes, xenophobes, who want children to starve, and will throw grandma over a cliff. It’s time to stand up to the lies of the left.

We are a country of laws. Our Declaration of Independence set the stage for this land. It set the bar higher than any other in history. It was not without pain. The Articles of Confederation failed. Our Constitution and subsequent amendments {Bill of Rights} created a framework that has been emulated by much of the world. Many years ago, I swore an oath similar to that sworn by elected officials, to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and to protect it from all enemies foreign or domestic. Unfortunately, the current administrations at both state and federal levels seem indifferent to their sworn oath. Laws only matter if they support the woke agenda of elite power. In many cases there is a two-tier justice system, one for the deplorable masses and another for connected elites. They forget

an important point. Our rights as stated do not come from government; they come from God.

We are a nation of immigrants. The key word for our country is “legal”. If someone comes here illegally, the law should be enforced. The working people of this country should not be asked to support those here illegally. Approximately 100 years ago immigration was stopped for a period of years so that those here could assimilate into our society. This is polar opposite to today’s woke policies which seek to only divide us by race, ethnicity, religion, etc.

In the March 10 paper Mr. Bradford chose to attack me with a subterfuge of scripture. I argue the Holy Scripture never lies, but liars and charlatans use Holy Scripture. Isaiah 5:20 says “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” If he reads the scripture in Matthew that he notes, he understands why I will never support the liberal agenda. Sixty-five million abortions are an abomination that cries for repentance from this nation.

To summarize: I believe in an omnipresent, omnipotent, Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. If one wishes to study our founding documents, I would suggest studying the Federalist Papers penned by Hamilton, Madison and Jay. I believe in the value of education. Parents must be involved to protect their children from lies being sold as history. I believe in the sanctity of life. I believe in the nuclear family. I believe in equal opportunity for every citizen. I believe in equal application of the law. I support President Trump’s America 1st agenda. I oppose the woke cancel culture that is working to destroy our society. The coming state elections are too important to ignore. Please be involved to protect our values.
