The fifth-grade students in Mrs. Hasty’s class recently learned about the different parts of a story. To illustrate, the students did an egg hunt for parts of their story. The students found hidden eggs and then put all their pieces together to write a story using an Easter basket model. Some eggs had special treats of candy in them. Mrs. Holland’s kindergarten students tried their hands at dyeing Easter eggs. It was a fun hands-on experience that all the children enjoyed. Presley Butler, left, and DeAndre McNeil, center, are proud to display their Easter egg masterpieces. Kylie Cook, right, shows off the egg she found during the Easter egg hunt.
