The release continued by noting that Davis-Hagens serves as president of The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been in that role since 2014.

“Pat is an integrative and dynamic leader with notable achievements that drive improved community outcomes while ensuring the patient is at the center of every decision,” said Paul Smith, Bon Secours Mercy Health group president. “She has the benefit of building upon a firm foundation of excellence over her 15 years with the ministry, where she focused on compassionate, quality patient care and efficient, effective operations.”

Davis-Hagens joined Mercy Health in 2006 as the vice president of patient care services/chief nursing officer at Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital in Cincinnati and has served the market in a variety of leadership roles over the last 15 years.

As market president, Davis-Hagens will oversee all Hampton Roads market operations, helping to advance a culture of innovation and excellence while bringing best practices for efficiency, quality and effective care delivery across the market.

“It’s an honor to continue my service to this ministry in a new capacity and work with our physicians, associates and community partners to serve the distinct needs of our patients across Hampton Roads,” Davis-Hagens said. “I am delighted to lead this team as we evolve to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve.”

Prior to joining Mercy Health, Davis-Hagens gained extensive leadership experience over 20 years at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois, where she served in the roles of chief nursing officer and chief operating officer, among other roles.

The release stated that Davis-Hagens will relocate to the Hampton Roads area this October.

As she steps into this new role, Davis-Hagens will work closely with the board, physician and market leadership to ensure a smooth transition. Davis-Hagens holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
