FRANKLIN – Geraldine “Gerry” Ann Patnesky, 78, has gone on to join all the glorious angels in Heaven on Dec. 18, 2021
. Gerry is survived by her loving husband Edward “Ed” J. Patnesky Jr. and two devoted sons, Michael Patnesky (Tracie) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Todd Patnesky (Debra) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gerry’s legacy lives on in her four grandchildren, Alexandra and Garrett Patnesky of Raleigh, North Carolina and Matthew and Grace Patnesky of Colorado Springs, Colorado, as well as her beloved niece, Kimberly Mottiqua (Joe) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Lena Zorzi Mondin and her sister, Emily Kenneth.
Also left to cherish her memory is a multitude of friends, coworkers and fellow business owners in the Franklin area and beyond. For 30 years, Gerry owned Alphabet Soup, a unique gift shop in downtown Franklin, where she served her customers not only with retail items, but with care, friendship and a sincere interest in their lives. She was a mentor, advisor, supporter and a genuine woman of worth.
Gerry was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church on Clay Street in Franklin, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dece. 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. She will then be interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania near her beloved city of Pittsburgh. A visitation will be held at Wright Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gerry’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
