CLIFTON FORGE, Virginia – Burgess Wall Mahon, 44, known to family and friends as B.W., passed away unexpectedly Dec. 16, 2021. He was born in Suffolk, the son of the Burgess Mahon and Patricia Salmon Mahon, to whom he is survived. He was raised in Ivor and a current resident of Clifton Forge, Virginia.
B.W. was a general foreman at Volt Power and was a member of Church of Christ. He was a man with a big heart, happy and always looking on the positive side of situations. A true jokester who loved to laugh, with the kindest heart to whom would give you the shirt off his back. He loved the Lord and drew others to him through kindness and the Word. He was a devoted husband and father, who always put family first and the best of friends to his father. His family called him their rock. B.W. loved the outdoors, loved to fish and hunt.
B.W. was known at work as “Burgess” and know for his hard-work, leadership and fairness. He was always proud of his crewmen and saw them as extended family, not just workers.
B.W. is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Marie Mahon; his daughters, Tayler Lyn, Tessa Maree Miller and Madison Paige Mahon; his son, Brennon Wall Mahon; sister, Melissa Mahon Cook; a niece, Tiffany Butler and several other close family members.
