FRANKLIN – Belinda Reid was called home to her Lord and Savior on Jan. 13, 2022. She was the oldest daughter out of four children born to the late Willie and Alma C. Reid. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1989. Belinda pursued a career in health care by finishing training as a clinical nurse aide from Paul D. Camp Community College. She worked at Southampton Memorial Hospital for several years. She was licensed as a cosmetologist in Virginia and enjoyed her skill of styling hair.
She was a member of The New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was the former church secretary, member of the usher board, Women Koinmonia Ministry and Mass Choir. She headed the arts and crafts for Vacation Bible School and was a teacher for Sunday School. She also enjoyed Bible Study with two local Bible study groups.
A public viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 – 6 p.m. Her homegoing service will be held graveside in the Southview Cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. The message will be delivered by Pastor Cornelius Carter of The New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
