Franklin City Public Schools will soon begin providing COVID-19 testing to students and staff for as long as the pandemic lasts.
An FCPS press release also stated that the school division always strives to keep students and staff as healthy and safe as possible, and this testing is being offered in support of that goal.
Testing began on Wednesday, Feb. 23, and will take place on Wednesdays for about two hours at every school.
Results are to become available within 48 to 72 hours after the test.
These tests will be administered by trained representatives of LTS, which is providing this needed service.
Testing locations and times are as follows:
- S.P. Morton Elementary School — 8:30-10:30 a.m.
- J.P. King Jr. Middle School — 1:30-2:45 p.m.
- Franklin High High School — 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
