SUFFOLK – Donald Lee Wood, 81, passed away April 14, 2022 at his home after a long illness. He was a son of the late John Oliver Wood Sr., and Mildred Ann Holland Wood. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Harrup and a son, David Harrup and brothers, Glenn, John and Tom Wood.

Don was a retired produce manager for Winn Dixie Grocery Stores and a member of Holland Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Gwen Cross; two sons, Dennis Harrup and Kevin Wood; three sisters, Judy Rogers, Patsy W. Price (Charles) and Sue W. Powell (James); one brother, Dexter Wood (Pinkie) and seven grandchildren, Marsha, Tracey, Corrinne, Brian, Shawn, Caitlin and Kevin Jr. and eight great-grandchildren, C.J., William, Ryan, Kiara, Ariana, Dante, Brendon and Odin and one sister-in-law, Margie Wood.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at Holland Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Johnson, officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Holland Baptist Church, 6519 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23437.
