The Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce and Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. recently hosted ribbon cuttings for two businesses — Simply Prepared and Farm Fed.
Franklin Mayor Frank M. Rabil officially cut the ribbon for Farm Fed, and Vice Mayor Robert “Bobby” Cutchins presided at the ceremony for Simply Prepared, according to a chamber news release.
Simply Prepared owners, Scott and Heidi Maynard, are two medical professionals who saw the opportunity to improve their community’s overall health through nutrition. This business was born out of a desire to prevent and reduce the effect of chronic illnesses through healthy, convenient and affordable eating. Customers can order one meal or a week’s worth of healthy choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Order online at simplyprepared4you.com
Simply Prepared is located at 931 Armory Drive, Suite A, in Franklin.
Farm Fed owners Paula and Arcel Dullas serve delicious fried chicken, pork lumpia and fried ribbon potatoes. All of the meats and eggs are sourced from their farm PandA Homestead in Capron. To reserve this new food truck, contact them at getfarmfed@gmail.com.
Simply Prepared and Farm Fed were the first- and second-place prize winners, respectively, of the STARTUP Franklin Southampton program.
