The city of Franklin experienced a downwind in the area of Bailey Drive and Stewart Drive around 6 p.m. on Monday, June 27, that caused damage to six power poles that serve that immediate commercial area as well as Armory Drive and South Street, Franklin City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt reported.
“Franklin Power and Light staff were able to reroute a portion of the grid to restore power to South Street and the majority of Armory Drive while working on the pole repairs,” Jarratt said in a Tuesday afternoon, June 28, email interview. “At this time city crews along with private contractors are working to restore power to the Bailey Drive area where the physical impact to the poles and transformers was the most significant.”
She said the city anticipated all power being restored Tuesday.
