COURTLAND – Brenda Raiford Luna, 79, passed away July 16, 2022.

Ms. Luna was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of the late John Shelton Raiford and Sadie Bass Raiford. She was also predeceased by a son, Troy T. Luna and his wife Debbie.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Luna-Ketterof Topeka, Kansas; a son, Noel E. Luna of Gainesville, Missouri; a sister, Audrey Gagner of Courtland; a brother, John W. “Billy” Raiford of Franklin; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 18 at Southampton Memorial Park, with Dr. Robert Carpenter officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Courtland Baptist Church.
