FRANKLIN – Ms. Diann Smith, 66, was born on Nov. 10, 1955, in Southampton County, proceeded in death by her mother, Margaret Louis Smith and her father, James T. Jones, departed this world and entered the gates of Heaven on Sept. 15, 2022.

A viewing will take place on Friday, Sept. 23 from 4 – 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 415 Stonewall Street in Franklin.

Vaughan-Temple Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of the service.
