WILLIAMSBURG – Betty Pridgen, 73, passed away on Sept. 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Madison Pridgen; her parents, Matt and Lucille Drewry; and her sister, Brenda Rae Fennell.
A graduate of Southampton High School, Betty went on to earn her bachelors degree from Barton College. She retired from Colonial Williamsburg after working for many years as a historical interpreter. An avid reader, Betty also loved animals, drawing and traveling the world. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be missed by her husband of 50 years, Kenny Pridgen; her son, Lee Pridgen (Racheal); daughter, Alyson Pridgen (Farris Loutfi); and her grandchildren, Lucas, Emily and Wyatt Pridgen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road in Williamsburg.
