FRANKLIN – Vincent Thomas Shea Jr., 85, passed away on Oct. 18, 2022 in Accordius Health at Courtland. Born in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Vincent T. Shea Sr. and Vivian King Shea.

Vincent was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a mill engineer for Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory is four daughters, Susan S. Williams, Catherine S. Burgess, Julie S. Smiley and Cynthia S. Panikowski; a brother, Butch Shea; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Poplar Spring Cemetery off of Homestead Road in Franklin with Pastor Matt Kidd officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kingdom Impact Building Fund.
