SUNBURY, North Carolina – Robert Glenn “Bobby” Lassiter, age 84, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 22, 2023 after a short illness. Bobby was born on July 25, 1938, a son of the late Little Linwood Lassiter and Helen Lassiter Lassiter in Hertford County, North Carolina. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Aulander, North Carolina and was retired from Union Camp Corporation.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Lassiter of Laurel Springs, North Carolina; his son, Brent Lassiter of Courtland; six grandsons, four granddaughters and four great-grandchildren; long time girlfriend, Elaine Ward and her son, Carroll Ward Jr.; along with numerous extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, North Carolina with Pastor Greg Hurdle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at 1 p.m. and the burial will follow the service at Job Cemetery in Aulander, North Carolina.
