A day of dudes and improvisation

Nottoway Elementary School had a particularly busy day April 7 as it hosted two events — Donuts with Dudes and Spring Field Day.
An NES news release noted that the day began with students bringing their favorite “dude” to have breakfast with them.
Since the weather did not cooperate, following breakfast, the staff converted the gym and cafeteria into field day running lanes for each class to include spectator seating.
“It was a fantastic day for all in attendance,” school officials stated. “The school is deeply appreciative of the Nottoway PTA for putting together a wonderful breakfast, the NES staff for working hard to make field day successful even in the rain, and to the nearly 400 guests who supported both events.”
