CARRSVILLE – Walter Bradley “Walt” Nickerson, 76, passed away April 30, 2023 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in New London, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Walter Seldon Nickerson Jr. and Shirley Eleanor Nelson Nickerson.

Walt was a U.S. Marine, serving in Vietnam and a retired police officer for the city of Norfolk. He was a member of the Holland VFW.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Walter S. “Chip” Nickerson III; a sister, Barbara; a brother, Robert and his close friends.

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, May 19 in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
