The needed variables came together for an outstanding Fall Festival Weekend in the city of Franklin this year.
Organizers were delighted with the participation for both the Food Truck Rodeo on Friday, Sept. 29, and the Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 30.
The rodeo, held at Barrett’s Landing Park, featured multiple food trucks and a concert.
On Saturday morning, the sky was overcast, but the weather was great overall, and the Fall Festival came to life with people perusing vendors positioned along North Main Street and branching off along intersecting streets.
In addition to music, vendors and food offerings, the festival also featured a kids zone, with children of all ages busily painting pumpkins.
“We were thrilled with the Food Truck Rodeo and concert on Friday evening followed by an incredible Fall Festival Saturday,” Franklin City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt said. “This event had the most vendors that we have ever had as well as a fabulous crowd.”
She indicated that the total number of vendors reached 123.
“We appreciate all of the sponsors, volunteers and city employees that made this event possible,” she said. We look forward to seeing everyone at our future upcoming events throughout the remainder of the holiday season.”
Up next after the National Night Out event on Tuesday, Oct. 3, is the Franklin Cruise-In Finale, set for Saturday, Oct. 14, in downtown Franklin. Then on Saturday, Oct. 21, is the Trick or Trot 5K Run; for more information on the run and to register for it, visit www.franklintrickortrot5k.org/.
