VIRGINIA BEACH – Elsie Gertrude Smith Williams, 96, passed away Oct. 12, 2023.

Left to cherish all the precious memories of her 96 years are her four children, Elaine Wall, (seven children, 24 grandkids, five great-grands); Jimmy Williams, Juanita Lutz (four children, 24 grandkids, eight great-grands), Johnny Williams (four children, nine grandkids, three great-grands) and four siblings Iris, Charles, Robert and Donald.

Her funeral service will be held at Black Creek Baptist Church in Franklin on Monday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to The Timothy Initiative, P.O. Box 98177, Raleigh, N.C. 27624.
