FRANKLIN – Beatrice Virginia Crumpler Fowler, 83, passed away Oct. 31, 2023, in her home. Born in Burdette, she was a daughter of the late Hertford Olinda Crumpler and Edna Mae Parker Crumpler. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Anna Lee Fowler and Genny Kirkpatrick; a son, Claudie Fowler Jr.; two sisters, Mary Lois Warren and Martha Womble and three brothers, Marvin, Melvin and Hertford “Dobbin” Crumpler.
Beatrice was a peanut grader for Hancock Peanut Company and a member of Burdette Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 65 years, Claude Edward “Mickey” Fowler; two daughters, Glenda F. Scott (Scotty) and Sarah F. Wettig (Tim); two sisters, Lillian Gunn and Irene Bailey (David); nine grandchildren, Rachel Heikens, Kendall Powell, Derek Powell, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Steven Fowler, Douglas and Tina Bradshaw and Lee and Jonathan Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Maddison Cooley, Gabriel Powell, Mia Powell, Bentley Bradshaw, Becca Bradshaw and Dean Scott.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to Burdette Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
