In 2022, the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office decided to revamp its evidence room. In the beginning of 2023, the process of transitioning to a new evidence system started.  During this time, Retired Det. Karl Boone came back on weekends and spent his time coaching and providing his expertise on what practices were best for our property and evidence room. Karl’s knowledge, patience, and teaching ability were key in ensuring that all industry standards were met with evidence storage and documentation by the Sheriff’s Office.
